Oh Myyy! You have made it through 7 weeks of learning new tools and resources, becoming more comfortable with technology tools, and working to create artifacts you can use with your students. Now is when the real work begins so grab your proton packs it's time to climb 22 flights of stairs and fight Gozer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Of maybe it's just time to really dig in and focus on your first 20 day cycle.

20 Day Cycle:
Much of this activity and your week 9 activity are going to be self paced work time. Since the expectation for each activity is between 4 and 4.5 hours, you are expected to spend 8-9 hours working on evaluating lessons and activities during that first 20 day cycle and finding ways that integrating technology can improve the quality of your instruction.
You may each come at this in a different way because your 20 day cycles may be mapped out differently but there are a couple things you need to keep in mind and a couple of suggestions we have:
- The time spend on these activities cannot count for your summer hours. You are not allowed to double dip.
- With that being said, you can work together if you have a teaching partner that is also taking the class.
- Also you could integrate this into your summer work by discussing ways to integrate technology into the first cycle with your PLC, after which you can take the reins on the technology side and create the activities that you are going to integrate as a PLC.
- Look at it 1 day at a time and don't try to do too much. If you introduce 5 different tech tools to your students on the same day, they may get overwhelmed.
- Remember that you need to plan for time to teacher procedures and to demonstrate of certain tech tools work.
- Keep activities 8 and 9 separate. We are going to ask you to write a different blog post for each activity and the reason for this separation is because we want you to reflect after you have put in your first 4-4.5 hours so you can make any modification to your plan of attack.
To complete this activity, we have created a basic template in a Google Doc. Click on the link then select make a copy to create your own copy of the template. You can use this template or use some other documentation that works for you. You need to be able to share a basic lesson outline so the technology integration makes sense and provide access to the technology tool you created. (Note, because you are in this class, these artifacts will be accessible by all of the other teachers in this class in the same way that everything else you create for this class has been. Sharing is important and awesome and to reciprocate, you can access and borrow ideas and resources from other teachers as well.

To Complete Activity 8:
- Attach the document or location where you have been keeping track of your work. Make sure the document has links to all of your artifacts.
- Discuss any challenges you have faced in the transition from learning about different technologies to using your knowledge to enhance your instruction.
- Reflect on what you have accomplished during these 4.5 hours and what changes you need to make in this process as you continue to activity 9.
- Comment on 3 other nerds' posts.
